Email Notifications

Send a personalized confirmation email on every Google Forms submission β€” with the respondent's own answers merged into the subject and body. No code.

Quick Answer

How do I send a confirmation email when someone submits my Google Form?

Use Formfacade's Email Notification. Import your form at formfacade.com/collaboration and click Add notifications. Pick which field holds the respondent's email, write a subject and body, and insert the respondent's own answers with the @ menu. Submit a test to confirm, and from then on every submission sends a personalized email automatically. You can also notify your team on each new response.

Email Notification turns a plain Google Form into an automated onboarding experience: the moment someone submits, they get a branded, personalized email built from their own answers β€” no scripts, no mail merge.

Use case

You're hosting a live workshop, "Building Real-Time AI Agents with MCP Toolbox & BigQuery." When a developer registers, they should immediately get a confirmation that greets them by name, lists the prerequisites, and includes the date, time, and meeting link β€” with their chosen focus area echoed back so they can correct it. That's exactly what Email Notification sets up.

Set it up

Import your form and add notifications

Go to formfacade.com/collaboration, click Import Google Form, paste your form's link (or Browse from Drive), and click Add notifications.

Import the form and click Add notifications to start.

Pick the respondent's email field

Formfacade opens the Responses tab and asks which form question holds the respondent's email address β€” it usually detects and selects it for you. Optionally let respondents edit their response and join the workflow, then click Next.

Write the subject β€” with form fields

Type the email subject. Insert the respondent's own answers by typing @ and picking a field (and RESPONSEID() for a unique reference). Here the subject becomes "Confirmed: AI Agents & BigQuery Workshop πŸš€ - @Full Name".

Write the body β€” with form fields

Compose the email in the rich-text editor β€” headings, bold, italic, lists, images, and links. Insert fields with the @ button in the toolbar; they appear as tokens like ${entry…} and resolve to each respondent's answer when the email is sent.

Test it

Formfacade prompts you to test the notification. Click through to submit a real response to your form, then check whether the email arrives.

The result

Seconds after the test submission, the email lands in the inbox β€” with the subject and body filled in from the answers: it's addressed to Aryan Irani, the subject reads "Confirmed: AI Agents & BigQuery Workshop πŸš€ - Aryan Irani", and the focus area shows the selected Software Development.

Back in the interface, click Yes (you got the email) and Formfacade confirms you're done β€” every future submission now sends this email automatically.
