Responses

View and manage submissions on Formfacade's Responses board โ€” statuses like Abandoned, Submitted, Completed, and Trash, custom statuses, column actions, and the Google Forms and Sheets views.

Quick Answer

How do I view and manage responses in Formfacade?

Open the Responses tab for a structured board that groups submissions into statuses โ€” Abandoned, Submitted, Completed, and Trash. Drag cards between columns, add your own statuses, and use each column's โ‹ฎ menu to search, notify people, print, or hide. You can also read the same responses in the underlying Google Form (Summary, Question, Individual views) or in the linked Google Sheet.

Once your form is built, styled, and shared, it's time to read the responses. You can always view them in the underlying Google Form and linked Sheet (see How Responses Sync) โ€” but Formfacade also gives you a structured board to organize and act on them.

The Responses board

The Responses tab is a status board (kanban) that groups every submission into columns you can drag between.

The Responses board โ€” submissions grouped by status, each as a card.

It ships with four default statuses:

StatusWhat it means
AbandonedSomeone started the form but didn't submit
SubmittedA completed submission
CompletedYour workflow's done state โ€” mark responses you've handled
TrashRemoved responses

Each response is a card showing its number (e.g. #2), the respondent's name, and how long ago it arrived. Drag a card to another column to change its status.

Add your own statuses

The four defaults are just a starting point. Click + STATUS to add your own columns โ€” rename, reorder (drag), or pin them โ€” then Save. This lets the board mirror your real workflow (e.g. New โ†’ Contacted โ†’ Won).

Column actions (the โ‹ฎ menu)

Each column's three-dot (โ‹ฎ) menu has actions for the responses in it. The exact options depend on the column:

ActionWhat it does
SearchFind responses within the column
ContactableFilter to responses you can reach (e.g. Abandoned)
Notify AbandonedEmail people who didn't finish the form
Notify respondentEmail the person who submitted
Notify approversEmail your approvers for review
Notify collaboratorsEmail your team
PrintPrint the column's responses
HideHide the column from the board

View in Google Forms & Sheets

The board is one of two synced views of the same data. To read responses the Google way, open the underlying Google Form (via Launch in Edit โ†’ Advanced) and go to its Responses tab:

  • Summary โ€” charts and aggregates per question.
  • Question โ€” every answer, one question at a time.
  • Individual โ€” one respondent at a time.
  • View in Sheets โ€” open the linked spreadsheet. Not linked yet? Create or connect one โ€” see How Responses Sync.

Deletions are permanent

Responses deleted in Google Forms can't be restored. If you might need a response later, move it to a status (like Trash) on the board instead of deleting it in Google Forms.
